Gyrn Ddu (Black Horns) Campsite is located on the ruggedly beautiful coast of the Llyn Peninsula.
We're a small family run site, set in 7 acres and with just 7 pitches. There are 5 grass pitches with a picnic table and firepit available, and 2 pre-pitched, fully kitted out glamping structures.
We also provide a covered communal eating and washing up area, composting loos and hot showers.
Gyrn Ddu Campsite offers guests environmentally friendly, low impact, old school camping holidays with spectacular views of Caernarfon Bay and Yr Eifl (The Rivals) mountains
Based on the Llyn Peninsula, we are located just off the A499, 1.25 miles past the historic village of Clynnogfawr.
We are situated at the foot of Gyrn Ddu peak, just 200 yards walk from the sea and within minutes of the North Wales Coastal Path.
We are only 10 miles from Pwllheli, 12 miles from Caernarfon, 12 miles from Porthmadog and 23 miles from Llanberis and the Snowdonia National Park.
There's plenty to see and do close by making us the perfect base to explore this part of North Wales.
Gyrn Ddu (which translates as Black Horns) is a peak on the Llŷn Peninsula in the county of Gwynedd in North Wales. Gyrn Ddu reaches a height of 522.1m and is the 5390th highest peak in the British Isles and the 457th tallest in Wales
We are a members only, Greener Camping Club Site. We provide low impact, environmentally friendly camping with comfortable off grid facilities and pride ourselves on maintaining a balance with the nature around us.
We use solar lighting, compost toilets and LPG showers with biodegradable, eco friendly products to minimise the impact to the environment.
Its the perfect location to take a time out from technology and get close to nature.
We don't charge extra for the summer holidays, making us affordable for families.
With the Llyn Peninsula's dark, clear sky's you can sit under the stars, around the campfire in the evening enjoying a BBQ whilst listening to the sounds of the sea.
