Site Rules & Terms & Conditions

1. The Greener Camping Club

A   Because we are located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we are only able to operate as a camping site by virtue of being a Greener Camping Club members only site. We have an obligation to Greener Camping Club to ensure that all our guests are members of The Greener Camping Club. Membership costs just £10 per year - membership runs from 1st January to 31st December. We will issue your membership before you arrive for your holiday. Your membership must be added to your camping pitch fees if you are not already a member. For more information please visit The Greener Camping Club website.  

2. Payment

We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. On confirmed receipt of the deposit and a reservation form we will secure your booking. All reservations are provisionally secured for 7 days after which if no deposit has been received - the dates will be released again. The balance payable will be required 4 weeks before date of arrival - a reminder will be sent on this date. For short notice stays - those booked less than 6 weeks before arrival - the full amount will be required to secure the booking.

3. Arrival and Departure times

Pitches and Structures will be available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival. Please try to arrive by 9.00pm at the latest. On departure, all pitches must be vacated by 11.00am. This allows for time for the pitches to be cleaned, grass cut and the area prepared for the next holidaymakers. No arrivals are permitted after 9.00pm so as to avoid disturbing the other guests.

4. Cancellation by You

If you need to cancel your camping holiday 6 weeks or more before your arrival date, we will refund your deposit less a 20% administration fee. If you need to cancel your camping holiday less than 6 weeks before your arrival date and we are able to re-let your holiday for the dates you have booked, we will refund your deposit and balance less a 20% admin fee. In the event that we are unable re-let your dates, no refund will be made. If you are concerned about the prospect of cancelling, please take out holiday insurance. Bookings are not transferable to another family without our prior agreement. The Greener Camping Club membership fee is not refundable.

5. Cancellation by Us

Gyrn Ddu Campsite reserves the right to cancel a camping or tipi/yurt holiday at short notice if we are unable to provide safe tipi /yurt accommodation or camping environment, due to extreme weather conditions, ill health, fire, flooding or any other extenuating circumstances beyond our control. Under such circumstances, your full payment will be returned to you. Gyrn Ddu Campsite cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, caused by cancellation.

6. Children

There are many opportunities for play and adventure on our site. Our aim is for children to have a truly enriching experience of space and freedom. But there are contingent risks to be aware of. We allow campfires in our fire pits, there is a large wildlife pond, an electric pole, overhead lines and some of our woodland is natural and un-managed. These risks are small and should be self-evident - but if you are not clear, please read the Site Access and Safety Statement for further details. 


Gyrn Ddu Campsite accepts no responsibility for injury incurred on site. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children on site at all times.

7. Cars on Site

Please note the speed limit on the site is 5mph. We ask that all cars remain  in the designated car parking area. No cars are allowed in the meadows. There is an overflow car park which can be used by prior arrangement only.  Wheelbarrows will be provided for you to carry your belongings to and from your pitch. No movement of cars is permitted between 10.30pm and 7.00am. 

8. Recycling and Rubbish

As part of the Greener Camping Club we are pro-active in recycling as much as we can. Please place all recycling material in the special bins provided. In addition, please take care that all rubbish is disposed of properly so as not to encourage the local wildlife to visit your pitch.

9. Fridge/freezer & Phone Chargers

 A fridge/freezer is provided on site for you to store anything you need to freeze such as ice packs, and although there are no electric hookups on site you can hire one of our solar  power banks or we can charge your mobile phone in the house for you if requested. Please note: Mobile phone signal on the farm is very limited in places and there is no wi-fi.

10. Campfires & Smoking

Campsites and BBQs are permitted. Please note the folllowing rules:


a) No smoking in the Tipis/Yurt is allowed as it can damage the canvas


b) Please smoke outside the tents and dispose of cigarette butts responsibly in the bins provided.


c) Please only set campfires in the fire pits provided. Do not leave camp fires unattended.


d) Disposable BBQs must be raised off the ground on paving slabs provided for your convenience.


e) There is fire safety equipment provided  in the Tipis/Yurt and at a designated fire points.


f) Only kiln dried logs and kindling can be used in the Tipis/Yurt for insurance purpose. Bags can be purchased from us onsite.

11. Personal Property

You will secure and insure and take care of all your property and possessions whilst staying at Gyrn Ddu Campsite. We will accept no liability whatsoever for any theft, loss or damage to your property or possessions, insured or not 

12. Complaints & Dissatisfaction

If you become dis-satisfied in any way with the facilities and services provided, you must raise the matter firstly with the owners. If the matter cannot be put right by them, you must make a written complaint within 21 days of departure to enable us to investigate it fully. No complaint will be accepted if these 2 steps have not been completed. If in our judgement the complaint is justified we will offer such recompense or compensation as we believe is warranted. This does not affect your statutory rights. 

13. Refusal of Entry

We reserve the right to refuse entrance to our facilities to anyone who, in our judgment, may be at risk of non-compliance with the rules, terms and conditions. In such circumstances no refunds will be made. Such action will not be taken unreasonably or without prior discussion with the parties. 

14. Exclusion for non-compliance

We reserve the right to make specific compliance with the Campsite Rules and this contract, and if such compliance is not forthcoming to instruct you and/ or specific members of your group to leave the premises as soon as reasonably possible, and to arrange for your removal if we meet with continued refusal. Such action will not be taken unreasonably or without prior discussion with you. 

15. Damage to campsite property

If there are any missing or broken items or utensils on your arrival please report it to us so we can replace as soon as possible 


We will seek financial compensation for damage to our, our neighbours' or our other clients' property caused by you willfully or through lack of due care and attention. We reserve the right to request at any point in the future a returnable deposit to cover potential damage to property, either for all or for individual bookings. 

16. Extreme Weather

In common with all of wild north west Wales, Gyrn Ddu Campsite can be subjected to extreme weather conditions. Very strong winds and torrential rain can occur at any time of year, although we are fortunate in that we do not flood.  You must therefore ensure that your tent is robust and correctly erected. 


Gyrn Ddu Campsite will not be held responsible for any loss or damage caused to tents or personal belongings by bad weather.  


It is up to individuals to check the weather forecast before commencing with their holiday and take out holiday insurance as required. 

17. Disclosure of Information

When booking you will disclose any and all details of all members of your party, sizes & numbers of tents, that may affect charges paid or the acceptance of a booking. Failure to declare all such information may result in additional charges being levied or in exclusion. 


By booking a holiday with Gyrn Ddu Campsite you are accepting that we will retain personal information regarding you and your party in connection with our business and services provided.

18. Noise and Disturbances

Please be considerate of your fellow campers. As there are children staying on site to respect other guests we ask for no loud noise after 10.30 p.m.     


Generators and amplified music is not permitted.
